Could this be evidence of a Redesigned iPhone home button?

The rumors keep pouring in with more and more talk about a new iPhone having a biometric fingerprint scanner built into the home button. We reported on it earlier but here is what appears to be more evidence to support this rumor. This could be used for authenticating purchases on the iTunes store or even to log into your iCloud account. You’d simply have to press the button down and it would scan your finger. The scanner would most likely also grant you access through the lock screen.

It seems that the fingerprint scanner would be optional though (low security vs. high security). Check out the actual patent Apple holds on the scanner and the concept created by a Cult of Mac reader.
